Apprenticeships are very often a condition for graduating from school or being entitled to take the final examination at university. The young person has to confront the acquired knowledge with the industry realities and get a positive opinion of the employer, i.e. the company organizing the apprenticeship.
Usually, it is the school or university that determines the place of the internship for the learner. Of course, the pupil/student can look for it on their own, but it requires a bit of west. Internships usually last 2-3 weeks, in the vast majority of cases they are free of charge and result in the issuance of a certificate and the submission of an internship log.
Unfortunately, the internships are of little value for a person who wants to make a career in their industry. Their programme is very often written on the knees, not always followed, and many apprenticeship companies do it only to get a salary. The interest of the apprentice is still there.
Internship: an interesting way to enrich your CV
The main difference between an apprenticeship and a traineeship is that it is voluntary. The student may participate in it independently from the school or university curriculum. This option is usually chosen by ambitious people who want to start their professional careers as soon as possible and make it easier for them to enter the labour market after leaving school.
You can look for an internship on your own. Today, many companies organize internship programs, thanks to which they gain access to talented employees and can build their human resources on them.
Internships are also organised by labour offices. This is a particularly beneficial solution for people who, apart from gaining professional experience, also want to earn money. During the internship, the young person receives a salary (the so-called internship scholarship, the amount of which does not exceed 1000USD per hand). Such an internship can last up to 12 months.
An internship is much better perceived by employers, who will familiarize themselves with the candidate’s CV. Companies know perfectly well that internships are often fictional and simply another point to hook up with in the course of learning. People who voluntarily decided to take up a professional internship and received a very good assessment from a carer, gain an advantage in the labour market from the outset.
